Chiang Mai Golf Courses
Chiang Mai Highlands Golf and Spa
Chiang Mai Highlands is one of the best courses Thailand has to offer. A 30-minute drive out of Chiang Mai takes you into the mountains where the 7,003-yard course towers, making the best of beautiful views in all directions. The course is carved into the land – it makes the most of the natural slopes, but it also features more than a hundred bunkers. This does not make for an easy game, but it makes up for that by being an exciting challenge.
Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai
The Alpine Gold Resort Chiang Mai is a 7,541-yard course that was previously known as the Chiang Mai Lampchun Golf Club. Regardless of what it is called, the course is a great Ron Garl design set 30 minutes out of Chiang Mai, amongst lush and mountainous scenery. The game offers some great challenges that require very long shots to make par.
Chiang Mai Inthanon Golf and Natural Resort
Chiang Mai Inthanon Golf and Natural Resort gets its name from Doi Inthanon – Thailand’s tallest peak. Views of the mountain are seen from most holes on the 7,268-yard course.
The resort is a 40-minute drive out of Chiang Mai, surrounded by orchards of tropical fruit. Suphachai Silamon has designed an undulating course with lots of variety between the holes.
Water is in abundance; there are a handful of creeks that wind through the course, which, as well as lakes, two-thirds of the holes require you to navigate through.
